Kickin Pty Ltd ("Kickin", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

We collect information you provide directly when using our services, including:

• Account information — name, email address, phone number, date of birth
• Identity verification — where required by law for payment services
• Crew activity — crews you create or join, contributions, votes, chat messages
• Payment details — processed by our payment provider Monoova; we do not store card numbers
• Technical data — IP address, device type, browser, operating system, session timestamps

2. How we use your information

• Operate and maintain your Kickin account and crew fund
• Process contributions, cash outs, and fund releases
• Meet legal obligations under AFSL-regulated payment services
• Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorised access, and misuse
• Communicate account updates, security notices, and service changes
• Improve the Kickin product based on usage patterns

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where necessary:

• Payment providers — Monoova and banking partners to process transactions
• Cloud infrastructure — Google Firebase for secure data hosting (Australia region where available)
• Crew members — your name and contribution activity are visible to other members of your crew
• Authorities — if required by law, court order, or to prevent serious harm

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

4. How we store and protect it

Data is stored with Google Firebase using enterprise-grade encryption in transit and at rest. Access is controlled by Firestore Security Rules that restrict data to you and your crew members only. Passwords are hashed by Firebase Authentication and never visible to Kickin.

5. Your rights

• Access — request a copy of your personal information
• Correction — update inaccurate details via your profile
• Deletion — close your account and request data removal
• Complaint — raise a concern with us, or escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

6. Cookies and analytics

Kickin uses essential cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage.

7. Children

Kickin is not available to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice before they take effect.
